Korg’s iKaossilator app for IOS lost the original hardware Kaossilator’s arp/gate function (a real WTF) as well as its ability to layer as many parts as you want. iKaossilator limits you to 5 parts, but you can go back in and edit each one individually, which is nice, and isn’t possible with the hardware box.
The best thing iKaossilator does, though, is sort of mimic Ableton Live’s scenes, enabling you to record individual sections of a song and then trigger whole scenes, or any component phrases, in time with the master clock.
This is some hottness I laid down while I was supposed to be doing something else.
