I’m sure Noam will have some choice words for the Nobel committee, but here he is on Bay Area public radio last week talking Honduras, Chavez, Iran, NPR et al and contending graciously with some bone-headed callers who like to say “quote unquote”.  Is hearing “quote unquote” spoken aloud worse even than seeing people gesture air-quotes?  I say yes.
